Santa came early!

Well in case you didn't read it on Lorin's blog, this year Lorin and I are low on the funds for Christmas. All our bills are good, but that left us with nothing to spend on presents for each other. So we didn't get anything for each other for the holiday. Hell...we have been so busy this holiday season, we barely decorated the Christmas tree. Somehow I think Santa knew that we didn't have any presents under our tree, so apparently last, he left some presents for Lorin under our tree. None for me, because I have been such a naughty boy this year! What is up with Santa coming a day early this year? I dunno! Oh well, there are finally presents under our tree so I will say...YIPPPEEEE!

Note to Lorin, since she is going to read this: Don't get mad at me! Santa left them just for you because you have been such a good girl this year. Sorry I couldn't get any presents for you. But you have all of my Love and I have all of yours and that's enough for me!

Have a Happy Holiday

Well since I have nothing of substance to post at the moment. I will just wish everyone Happy Holidays! I was being P.C. there. Since I am a christian, I will also say to those of you who celebrate Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Cartoons from the 80's and 90's...that "I watched"!

When it came to cartoons, I was all over it! I loved them. When I was a teenager, people would look at me and go...but aren't you too old to watch cartoons? NOPE! There is no age limit on cartoon watching! Although I will say that cartoons today...well...they are really lacking of substance. I just cannot understand what children see in them. I know that makes me sound really old. But the age of great cartoons has sadly passed. This is not just an opinion...it's fact!

Many of the BIG blockbuster movies in the past several years have been taken from cartoons and from comic books that many people had enjoyed as kids. Hollywood has taken those much loved cartoons and turned them into live action movies. Some have been great...and some not soo much!

Just so you know what I am talking about. I am posting the opening intro for cartoons that I liked that started in the 80's and went into the 90's and some that were just in the 90's. Since I have mentioned cartoons from just the 80's in a previous post, those will not be posted in this one. Oh yea and since some of my audience has made mention of "great kids shows" from the 80's and early 90's that were not included in my previous post. I will just mention a few that I watched as a kid and I absolutely loved them: Fraggle Rock, Reading Rainbow(I can't believed they cancelled this recently), Double Dare, Saved by the Bell, Punky Brewster(yes its another girls show that I watched), Pee Wee's Playhouse(yea I know...you don't even have to say anything about this), Video Power(many don't remember this one, it was a kids game show where they played NES games...look it up), Kids Incorporated, Step by Step, Dinosaurs, Captain Power & The Soldiers of The Future, Boy Meets World, Full House, Alf, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers(don't judge me! I liked it because I thought Kimberly the pink ranger was hot), Small Wonder, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, just to name a few! There were many more but I can't remember them all.

1)The Disney Line-up came on in the afternoons when I got home from school. The shows during this time would move around or sometimes stop air but here they are: Gummi Bears, TaleSpin, Duck Tales, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Bonkers and Gargoyles.

2)Tiny Toons
I used to love this. I watched it weekday afternoons. I was a big fan of Looney Tunes but it seemed like this was for the newer generation of kids.

3)Animaniacs
Gosh I loved this show. We bought the DVD box set and it was funny how much adult humor there was. I always wondered why there was stuff I didn't quite get when I watched as a kid. Now that I am older...I get it.

4)Bobby's World
Howie Mandel...with hair...and it's a mullet! He did the voice for Bobby as well as many other characters back in the day. Its funny how he used the same voice for Gizmo on the Gremlins, Bobby on Bobby's World, and Skeeter & Animal on the Muppet Babies. Nobody seemed to notice!

5)X-Men
This was a great show taken from the Marvel Comic world. Sorry there is no audio, copyright laws and stuff.

6)Captain Planet
He's our hero gonna take pollution down to zero!

7)The Tick
I didn't get to watch it very often. It's one of those shows that I liked and didn't all at the same time.

8)The Simpsons
I watched this for the very first time in December of 1989. It is still going on today, 21 years for a cartoon is quite a long time! Although I don't watch it anymore, I did love it when I was growing up.

9)King of the Hill
This I absolutely found hilarious. Mostly because I am from the deep South. I am Louisiana boy so this show taking place in Texas was very familiar to me. I get the humor and its actually pretty accurate for the deep South! Sorry more copyright issues to consider so its not the actually opening intro just the song.

10)Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Tomatoes are evil in case you didn't know it!

11)Widget the World Watcher
I used to watch this on my Saturday mornings.

That's all I can think of. I will say that I did not watch any of the MTV shows like: Beavis and Butthead, Ren and Stimpy, Daria, Liquid Television or Aeon Flux. Don't get me wrong I did see some episodes of them, but they were just not my cup of tea!

So I bid you farewell until next time. I think I will post about live action TV shows from the 80's and 90's that I liked, at some point!

The 80's cartoons were the best!

I was watching some clip this weekend about flashbacks from the 80's cartoons. It got me reminiscing about all the cartoons I watched as a kid. In my personal opinion, these were some of the best years for cartoons. No...really! I know people that are older than me that think so too. The older folks didn't watch them except with their kids and the parents really liked what they saw. One of the things that I loved most about my childhood cartoons, was that they always had good morals in all the shows that I watched. You could really get something constructive out of them.

I remember getting up early every saturday morning(at 6:00am) to watch some of my favorite shows. My mom would spend Saturday sleeping in after a long week of being an adult. Not me. Now I know this sounds like a bad way to be a kid, glued to the tv for several hours on a beautiful Saturday morning. I assure you that I did get my outside time, but only after my mom was up...at around 10:00am or so.

When we lived in Orlando, Florida and in Baltimore, Maryland I wasn't allowed to go outside at all without adult supervision because of the dangers of living in a rather large city. So parking my behind in front of the old "boob tube" was how I spent my weekend mornings. We didn't always live in a city but the rules were pretty much the similar. My mom had to know where I was and I couldn't leave without her permission. So being a obedient little lad, I managed to get my cartoon fix every Saturday.

So here are some of the cartoons I watched. I didn't watch all of these in one sitting of course. Different places played different shows and of course some shows went away after a while but you get the idea. Some I watched after I got home from school as well. The weekday afternoon cartoons rocked as well! For all of you youngsters, this is the kind of stuff us old people watched when we were kids. And for all you other old fogies like me, here is a trip down memory lane!

1)Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
This one started out as a Saturday Morning cartoon but later I watched it when I got home from school in the afternoons. My favorite turtle was Raphael(he wore red) because he was a smart aleck like me. This did carry well into the 90's but I figured what the hell!

(Because of copyright issues I cannot play the original opening theme video only the song...sorry!)

2)Bravestarr
This was something of a western/futuristic cartoon that I would watch on Saturday mornings.

3)Voltron
I think this was where they got the idea of the Power Rangers robot.

4)Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs
Its was very short lived but I will always remember this cartoon. This is what early Japanese anime looked like. Hmmm! I still watch old episodes on youtube.

5)GI Joe
Oh my GOD! Yea this is what I can blame for me always wanting to join the US Marine Corps. I wanted to be GI JOE when I was a kid so what did I do? Oh I enlisted! Well this was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I never missed an episode. It came on every saturday morning and mom new she would not ever be able to pull me away from this show at any time! Snakeeyes was the best and my personal favorite. GI Joe PSA's were the best too!

And of course I loved the GI JOE intro for the cartoon movie they did back then also. The theme song was suped up and really catchy.

And by the way...where the hell was my super awesome JetPack when I joined? Grrr!

6)He-man
By the power of gray-skull...I have the POWER! Enough said!

7)She-ra
This was a spinoff of He-man. I liked both of them that is until I found out that He-man and She-ra kissed...and that was gross because they were brother and sister... dirty! There was kind of a theme with that back in the 80's. Luke and Leia(Star Wars...in case you didn't know) were also kissing siblings!

8)Silver Hawks
This was one of those cheesy cartoons that I would spend my Saturday mornings watching...gosh this was soooo 80's!

9)Transformers
I always wondered why Megatron would turn into a gun if he and everyone else was always carrying one. This was another of my Saturday morning cartoons.

10)Mask
Another cheesy 80's cartoons that I loved.

11)Bionic Six
Well I liked superheroes a lot and this was a family of them. They were kind of like the Fantastic Four but plus 2!

12)Jem
Yea...don't make fun of me! I know it was a girls cartoon but I watched it anyways!

13)Thundercats
Oh this one really brings back memories. When I was a little kid, I remember watching the pilot episode, and they were all naked! They really aired this for kids! I think later they covered up the nudity in the original episode but it was there...I swear!

14)The Real Ghostbusters
It was a fun cartoon that spawned from the movie. Gosh I miss being a kid sometimes!

15)The Smurfs
Saturday morning fun! And I still think smurfette was a tramp!

16)COPS(Central Organization of Police Specialists)
I used to watch this in the after school afternoons. It was a good show I don't know why it didn't last long.

17)Robotech
Some more early Japanese anime at it best!

There are a bunch of old cartoons that I watched as a little kid. Some were not my favorites but I would watch them anyways. Some I didn't list because this post is already taking so long. So here are some of the others: The Jetsons, Speed Racer, Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Dennis the Menace, Garfield and Friends, Mighty Mouse, Popples, Heathcliff, The Muppet Babies, Richie Rich, Go Bots, The Ewoks Adventures, Inspector Gadget, Tom and Jerry, The Snorks and so on...Some of these did air in the 70's too!
I may not have got them all, so sorry if I didn't, these were just the ones I could remember. With the exception to the Ninja Turtles I didn't list the cartoons that ran into the 90's. There is a whole line up of those as well. Mostly from Disney like Duck Tales, Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers, Talespin, etc...
Well that is all for now. Until then have a great weekend!

The cats out of the bag!

Well if you didn't read about it on the Love of my lifes blog at http://quiet-here.blogspot.com/ than here it is...we are havin a baby. Yea...I know...SURPRISE! There is something in the air...everybody we know is pregnant or has recently given birth...weird!

Apparently I have like super sperm or something. Over the last 4 years we have been extra careful that this didn't happen. Which in all reality I am surprised that it didn't happen sooner...with all of the sexy times we have...hmmm! We are like rabbits! I do come from a very fertile family and I do have 4 kids (some were while my ex-wife was on birth control) through a previous marriage. So I am not all that surprised! Like I said, I think I have super sperm.

A few weeks ago when we went to the doctor to get Lorin all checked out. The doctor said, "oh you have a very minimal chance for complications. This fetus is as healthy as I have ever seen"! To me that is a very good thing to hear.

We have known for about a month and a half now. But on the off chance that Lorin's mom reads our blogs we didn't say anything. We waited until she showed up here yesterday so Lorin could tell her in person. Lorin's mom,as we guessed not so thrilled! Fortunately, she didn't kill us or anything. Her mom is still very controlling when it comes to Lorin and her sisters. Even though Lorin is 27 years old she still treats her like she is a kid. You should have heard about the stink she put up when Lorin went to buy a new car 3 years ago...yikes! My mom, on the other hand, is bouncing up and down!

I mentioned in a previous post in November about my mom moving out here. I didn't mention why because it would have been obvious. Well this is the reason...we are having a baby! With me being in school for nursing, that kind of puts a damper on things seeing as the baby will probably be with me most of the time since Lorin works full-time at her grown-up job! I wouldn't really have much time for my schooling. So Lorin and I sat down one night to discuss things and we came to the conclusion that the only way it would work is if we had help. Lorin suggested my mom as a joke, I think. I said "oh that's a great idea"! So I called my mom, at midnight our time 2 am her time, I told her the news that we were having a little one and I had the intention of asking her for help. She was super dooper excited and before I had a chance to ask for her help she said, "with you in school and all, do you need me to move out there"? Huh! Yup! My mom is just cool like that! She was ready to move closer to my brother until this news and so she changes her plans and decides to come live with us.

So in January I am flying out to Louisiana to help her with the move and then my mom and I are driving back here. For the time being she will stay with us in our house. I dunno if she will stay with us afterwards, but I leave that all to the future.

So there you have it. I am gonna be a daddy again! Scared? Yes. It's always scary bring a new child into the world. I will say that I am not nearly as scared as Lorin is. She seems equally excited and scared at the same time. This is her first, my fifth, so she doesn't really know what to expect. So I whenever she has questions about baby stuff she asks me...since I am well practiced! I am not tooting my own horn but...I am rather good at the child raising.

Its funny. Lorin and I never planned to have children. We just simply said that if it ever happens than great we'll be good little parents(nerds totally...but good)! We Love each other so much. We usually make our friends nauseous. So in June we will be adding a new member to our little family. Thank you...the end!

What to do for today? And for the rest of the weekend?

Well the snow has mostly melted away. This week has been rather warm for December. There is an overcast and it is a little wet outside. Forecast calls for some light rain. What is there to do when the weather is so wishy washy?

So I don't know what to do. I want to go gun shooting out at the range. I don't know if Lorin is feeling up to it. I haven't been shooting for a while due to being broke over the last several months. I have managed to buy a bunch of ammunition, a little at a time, over the last few months. I just wanna go shooting. Let off some steam out at the range. That sort of thing.

We have to do some house cleaning. Lorin's mom is coming on Monday. So making the house all perdy and stuff is something we do need to do. I really don't want to clean today but we are going to clean before Monday.

A laundry party needs to be assembled! Since our washing machine crapped out on us a few months ago, we have had to do laundry at the Washoe house. It's fine. We just hang out there all day, lounging about, while we do laundry. Well in the Washoe Valley area, when it snows...it really snows! Therefore, even though I have a 4 wheel drive truck, we can't get down the dirt driveway to the house. We would have to walk about a hundred yards or so to the house carrying the laundry (about 4 baskets full) to the house. Not really up to doing that. So we are going to have to go to a laundry-mat this time around. Stupid washing machine going out! Arrrrgggghh!

Other than that, there really isn't much to do around here. Movies at the theatre look unpromising. We don't frequent bars, hell...we rarely drink. This little ole town does not have much recreational activities to do. I should study for finals week...but I really don't want to just yet. I know we can lounge around the house but I am not sure I really want to do that either. We could go window shopping...but that requires me getting off my ass to do that. I really don't know if I can control myself, since the Christmas shopping bug is in the air!

So this is my dilemma. What to do for the weekend? Thank you ba-bye now!

Wow I suck at blogging!

I really do suck at blogging. I go to other peoples pages and I see all these blogs posted. Some post every few days, some post daily, others post multiple times a day. Me? I post like one blog every other week or so. Sometimes when I am feeling particulary bold I will post two in a whole day...and then nothing for a few weeks.

Am I really that boring or am I just anti-social or am I just not creative enough? I don't know. It's not like I don't have the time. I actually do! I just can't think of anything interesting to post.

I have written several blogs that I just don't post because I think they are dull or bland or I just don't like them. I want my blog posts to be interesting. I don't want to bore my readers with uninteresting posts. So I just don't post as often as I would like to.

I don't have a lot of followers and I would like to have more. I do really appreciate all of you who do take the time to read blogs from my little corner of the world. To all of you, I say thank you!

I don't want this post to sound all mopey or whiny. I am not trying to sound that way, so sorry if it does.

On a plus note I have two more weeks in this semester before the Christmas Break. All sad now. No more Sex Class! I am bringing pizza for our little pizza party on the last day of that class, so that will be fun...PARTY! The next semester registration starts in a few days, so I will have to jump on that very soon. I am going to step it up again and try to take more classes so that way I will be that much closer to my Nursing degree. I am now unemployed so that way I will have more time to devote to my schooling.

I do have other interesting news but that will be a long post for another day. Until then. Ta-Ta!

I am trying to be a good little house-boy

So over the course of the week, I have managed to vacuum, clean the kitchen 5 times(that is what I hate about Thanksgiving...the clean-up before and after and again and again until there is no turkey left), cleaning the kitty litter, putting things away, and other little odds and ends. Our plan for the last week has to put up the Christmas lights. Not turn them on yet but just have them up. Well it has been snowing for the last few weeks here. This past week it has been an ice cube outside so neither me nor Lorin has had the motivation to do our outdoor work.

So today is the day. Lorin has a choir performance just down the street and who knows when it will be done. I am feeling very productive today. I have managed to clean the kitchen again and give the dogs a well needed bath. Archie our sheltie takes over an hour and a half just to clean and dry him alone(he is a hairy dog so that's why). Barty not so long.

My next project is to get started on the lights. I have to be a little more careful because of all the ice and snow. Last year we didn't get to put up the decorations for Christmas for the exact same reason. Not this year. We weren't the only ones not to decorate. There was like two houses on our block that decorated last year and that is because they put up their lights right after Halloween. Well this year I am bound and determined to put up the lights. Rain, sleet, hail, or snow will stop me this year. I Love decorating for Christmas. I am a festive kind of person. I will listen to Christmas music, decorate the house, and I love having a REAL tree to decorate. Having a real tree is just Christmasy to me. I Love the smell. I am an insomniac so I wonder around the house late at night. When the tree is all decked out I can see! So I won't trip over the dog toys in the dark. Well that's all from my little corner of the world. I hope everybody is doing great! Bye

Happy Turkey Day!

Well it's now Thanksgiving Day here in the USA. So I am doing my usual up all night cook-a-thon! For like...3 people! Me, Lorin, and Erin(Lorin's little sis) are all here to have Thanksgiving tommorrow or later today seeing as how it is 1:15am.

So here is what I do. I spend all night the night before prepping everything for the big day. I cook some things like hard-boiled eggs(for the deviled eggs), I get the potatoes peeled and cut(mashed potatoes), I soak the turkey in juices overnight, I chop up whatever vegetables that need to be, so that wait the cooking for turkey day doesn't take as long! The other stuff really has no need to be prepped, most of it is usually very easy and does not require too much special attention. So that is what I will be doing for the next few hours. Then off to bed only to get up in the morning to get my cookin' on!

So have a Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Rods and Cones!

Lorin and I are laying in bed talking and I tell her about this spot in my peripheral vision that just won't go away. Its been there for months now. I really don't notice it until I am just zoning out and am looking at something like a white painted wall or something light in color. Anyways, we are laying there going over what it may or may not be. When Lorin mentions that maybe one of your rods in your eye has gone out. Well that started both of us thinking back to Blue Man Group.

Ok. So Lorin and I used to work at Blue Man Group at the Venetian down in Las Vegas.

Actually that's where we met and fell in Love. So this place will always be something we take to heart. There were times we Loved working there and then there were times when we hated being there. All in all, I look back more on the good of being there and the fun of working for Blue Man Group. I remember watching the show(almost every night...and sometimes twice a night) and being in awe even though I had seen the show like a bizzillion times already. Almost everybody who worked there had a favorite part of the show. It didn't matter how many times you had seen it, it just never got old. My favorite part of the show was called "Rods and Cones".

If you have never seen Blue Man Group, then I suggest you go and see it for yourself. Don't bother asking anyone who has seen the show or has ever worked or currently work there, what the show is all about. Trust me...its damn near impossible to describe what its about. You will hear about certain parts of the show or what people like etc...but a description...no! Its a lot of fun if you have never seen the show. The show is also something you can watch multiple times. Trust me! I watched it over and over, 6 to 7 days a week, for over 3 years.

I know Lorin hated working there sometimes. I really didn't hate working there up until the last few months I was there. Sometimes I miss working there(I think Lorin secretly does too) so, every now and then, I will watch some vids or listen to some of the music they play.

And now I give you my favorite part of the show. Its called Rods and Cones. It brings back memories to me...
How bout you Lorin?

In case they feel like sueing me for copying pictures. I do not own anything! These pictures are the property of BMPI
Thank you!

Cowboys & Aliens!!!!

Ok! Now earlier this week I saw a bizarre title for a movie that will be coming soon. Cowboys and Aliens! What...the...hell! I have to say that the title surely attracted me to watch the movie trailer. There are just some movie titles like "Werewolf Women of the SS" or "Amazon Women on the Moon" or "Billy the Kid Versus Dracula" or "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" or my personal favorite "Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Crawling, Zombified, Living Dead" (part 2and part 3...seriously? There is more than one with this ridiculous title?) or whatever cheesy titles come your way. So like I said, some movies just have a strange title that make you say out loud...WHAT!?!?!?
I present to you the trailer Cowboys and Aliens

This could be cool! I mean it has Daniel Craig(the newest James Bond guy), Olivia Wilde(uber hottie from House m.d.), and Harrison Ford(no description necessary). It looks interesting. So knowing me, I will probably go to see this flick!

And for those of you who think I am full of B.S. in those weird-ass titles listed above or are just like me saying "there are really movie titles like this?" With an exception to one, these are all real movies. Here you go:

Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Crawling, Zombified, Living Dead Part 2

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

Amazon Women on the Moon

Billy the Kid vs Dracula

Werewolf Women of the SS(not a real movie by the way...it was on the Grindhouse movie with fake trailers.)

Three-day weekend

Lorin and I have a 3-day weekend together. That has not happened in quite a while. I don't have work and my classes are in the beginning of the week. Lorin has a furlough day today. So its just us all weekend. We started it off right. We haven't made breakfast(or in our case brunch) together in a while. So, I had a wild hair up my ass to do just that.

We are planning to go see the new Harry Potter flick today or tommorrow or Sunday. So that will be fun. My mom went to the midnight showing last night and said it was great. Ok! Well I thought it might be.

We did have plans to go to the shooting range today, but it is just so windy outside that that plan is a bust. I don't think we will be able to go any other time this weekend, because the forecast says there is a storm coming. There is supposed to be 14 inches of snowfall for this weekend. Thus the start of the winter here in Northern Nevada. So we might still go shooting if it doesn't snow, but the outlook is not so good!

As for other things planned for the weekend. Turkey day(Thanksgiving) shopping is on the list. A whole lot of relaxing and lounging around the house is on our agenda this weekend. We need some R&R time. I have already winterized my truck so thank goodness I don't have to worry bout that. I think I would go nuts if my 4 wheel drive and my winter windshield wipers didn't work!

Well that's about all from Gary and Lorin land!

Snowing!

It is snowing here in Northern Nevada. Lorin and I got up this morning and looked outside and just said "holy shit"! Well its not unusual for here to snow in the fall. Last year it snowed in October. It gives me a good feeling that I am gonna have me white Christmas again this year. I love it when it snows at Christmas time so I hope the snow is here to stay. However, the weather here is rather odd a lot of times. Because sometimes, like earlier this year, it will snow in May! May...really? Isn't usually shorts wearing, pull out your summer clothes, turn off the heater, in late spring? Not here! So I shouldn't be surprised by the snow. But I am!

Internet..down again!

So for the past two days our internet has been down. It will be fixed tommorrow, but it is just a pain in the neck to have to wait.

We have only had this internet service provider for a few weeks, so I do expect there to be some bugs to be worked out. I will say, when it is working it is soo much better than who we had before. The speed is good and I don't have to keep unplugging and plugging back in the modem. Such a relief! The company did a diagnostic from their office but it appears to be a problem that needs to be fixed at our house. OK...pain in the ass but still better than what we had!

The only reason I am able to blog is because in my "man cave" also known as...our garage, I am able to get a signal from one of our neighbors wireless connection. So I am temporarily stealing internet service. I discovered this connection from the many times our previous internet providers services would go down for days and sometimes weeks at a time, for no reason at all. It is sort of my back-up internet service. Its not a very strong signal and I do have to occasionally repair the connection, but eh...it'll do!

Hello and sorry

Hello to all those who read my little blog. I am sorry I haven't posted much. I have been pretty busy. Mostly with school stuff. Plus I am just kinda boring.

I think that my mom is going to be moving here to Nevada soonish. She currently lives in Louisiana where I am from. I think she has got that moving bug up her ass again. You see, my mom has always been a bit of a gypsy. When I was younger we were always moving somewhere new. I have lived all over the US. Not because of a job or anthing interesting other than the fact my mom is kinda crazy. She doesn't really like staying in one place for too long. You can see that from constant moving...
I HATE MOVING!

My idea is to move to one place...stay there...and just travel, always having a homebase to go back to. Not my mom! I was born and lived all over North Carolina. In my youth I have lived in different areas all over these states: Florida, Maryland, Texas, Virginia, Idaho, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Washington D.C.(I know its not really as state)! I have been to almost all of the 50 states! I claim Louisiana as where I am from, because thats where we lived the longest. Back in the day, right before I started High School, I made a demand that I would go to the same school for all four years. Well, I did get what I asked for. However, I should have said that we won't move in those four years. We did three times. All in the same area but three times, none the less! Well, my mom has been back in Louisiana for around 5 years I think(I can never keep up) and she has been telling me that she was looking at places in North Carolina (where my little brother currently resides) to move to again.

After a few of our chats recently my mom has changed her mind...she is making plans to move here to Nevada. I think its great. My mom is a little batty though! I love her to death but she always has been! Now here is the amusing part. I...am...not...my mom's...favorite! She loves me very much and we have great chats and get along wonderfully. My mom just dotes on my little brother. I have always wanted my mom's attention but never completely had it. My brother on the other hand, has always had it. I have had to live in the shadow of my little brother for as long as I can remember. I didn't mind all that much, because I myself adore my brother too! I just wanted the same attention he got. It was a mild jealousy, not at all destructive jealousy in any way, but I just wanted what he had!

Now I know this sounds like I am bitching that I never got enough attention when I was a kid. Trust me, it's not! I came to accept it long ago, that my brother was the favorite of both my parents. He absolutely hates being the favorite and would trade places with me in a heartbeat! My brother and I are total opposites as well. We get along but we are just different people. He is uptight, serious, introverted, little to no sense of humor, SUPER GENIUS, SUPER TALENTED, tall, stoic, very set in his ways kind of guy. I, on the other hand, am fun, funny, funniest, cheerful, chatty, average intellect, friendly, extroverted, short, open-minded kind of guy. I am also the better looking one! Not being conceited...just truthful. My mom well never admit that my bro is her favorite. She says "I don't play favorites...I love you both equally!" I know that! But a lot of parents do play favorites whether they realize it or not!

So back to my mom moving here. I think it would be great. I have not seen my mom now in over 8 years. I know that is a looooong time to go without seeing your mother. But I have my reasons.
One: The last time I saw my mom or brother was when my ex-wife and I got married over eight years ago. I haven't seen my dad in over 10 years(we don't get along very well anyways). Well I don't talk about my ex-wife very often but I will just say that when we were married I was kept on a tight leash. I wasn't allowed to have friends or money and I had to give it all to her. Not because I had proven to be bad with either but more that she was very insecure and possessive! I was not allowed to go visit my mom or brother or dad or anybody else. If I wanted to see them they could come to us 2500 + miles away. If they were to come they couldn't stay in our house(because our guest room was reserved for her family only), so they would have to rent a hotel room and would have designated visiting hours(since I was apparently a prisoner). Can you see some of the reasons why I did not stay with this woman?
Two: After my ex-wife and I went our separate ways I just never seemed to have enough money or time to go and visit anyone. And of course everybody else was broke, so they couldn't visit me either.

The idea of my mom living near me is exciting...and frightening at the same time. My mom loves Lorin to death, even though they have never met. They have chatted on the phone or internet and seem to like each other just fine. My mom and I get along...well...because we are very similar! My brother merely tolerates my dad and vice versa because they are very similar! Neither dad nor my bro really tolerate me or my mom because we are total opposites. Mom and I love my dad and little bro very much and get confused when they don't like us! You see...my mom and I are nuts! I am just a lighter version of my mom and my brother is a lighter version of my dad! That is the insanity of my family. I know its not as bad as others and I don't claim it to be. All in all, I would say that we are strangely normal!

So I guess we will see what happens here in the next few months.
The end!

Television 2...

Well as I stated in my previous post. My television picks are continued. Most of the shows on this post are great shows but the rewatch value is not so good. There are many that you just watch the one season and move on to the next. Don't get me wrong I like the shows very much but there is just something about some of them that rewatching would just get boring. Yes we do own all of these shows and all the seasons. Some of them would've been better just to rent but thats ok since we purchased the DVD's we just loan 'em out so others can enjoy them as Lorin and I have.

7) NCIS

Now I do especially love the characters of this show. My favorite is Gibbs. Old Marine guy...hmmm....I wonder why I like him??? The rest of the cast absolutely clicks so well together. Season 3 is still my favorite of all of the seasons. This is one of those that is so great but rewatch value not so much!

8) Weeds

Now this is a show that really surprised me. I wasn't sure I was going to like it. Its not my usual cup of tea. I really do enjoy it and it makes me laugh. Sadly the rewatch not so good.

9) Outerlimits(New and Old)

This is a show that I have always loved. The old series used to give me goosebumps and was just so interesting. The new series really surpassed old series. What I liked about it was that it was an anthem. So it didn't matter if you missed previous episodes because every episode was like a miniature scifi movie. Another BIG reason that I loved the new series was that at the beginning and the end of each episode there was a moral lesson to be thought about. I can watch this over and over again. It really doesn't lose its rewatch value. Sadly its very difficult to buy all of the seasons for (new series) this show.

10) House m.d.

House cracks me up. He is such a jerk to people but yet a strange genius. This is one that Lorin and I recently started to buy. We enjoy it but it is another of those that the rewatch would be a little dull.

11) Buffy The Vampire Slayer

I have no idea why I like this show. I absolutely hated Buffy herself. I think it was the witty humor and the supporting cast. I loved Xander, Willow, and Giles. I just wanted Buffy to just die off already. Unfortunately you can't really have a show about a character if the main character that the show is named after is DEAD!The funny thing is I have watched this show over and over. It was also the first show you could buy on DVD. So of course I bought all the seasons a long time ago. Joss Whedon...still a genius!
P.S. I also HATED that little brat...Dawn!

12) Angel

Yet again another show I have no idea WHY I liked it. Angel...is douche! The cast was great! Another of Joss Whedon. I like the picture I found of this show shown above. It really says a lot about the main character!

Ok I'm done being a pain in the neck, writing about shows I like and bitching about our crap television. I hope ya'll have a happy halloween. I won't! Little monsters running around begging for candy! What the hell!!!

Television...

So Lorin and I don't have cable...at all! We did this by choice...well somewhat! The cable company here is horrible. There really isn't much that we watch on TV, so we cut the cable out of our home about 2 years ago. I think we have been better for it. I mean there are times when one of us is at home alone and a little bored. TV would be a good time passer, but hey thats what we have internet and all kinds of video gaming systems.
The biggest problem we run into is that our television set just sucks ass! The picture is really dark, the volume is either too loud or too quiet so there is no happy medium, its rather smallish in comparison to our large living room so the TV set is dwarfed, and there is not a single universal remote that can be used for this hunk of crap(trust me we've tried). So last year we were going to purchase a bigger better television, but due to our Satan Kitty swallowing about 2 miles of sewing thread last year around Christmas time, that went out the door for our present to ourselves. Well this year we have decided no matter what we are getting a new one. We really can't take another year of this shit.
Well a favorite thing for Lorin and I to do is to watch TV shows. Since we don't have to pay for cable we spend our money purchasing shows we want to watch on DVD. It works out better that way. The money we would be wasting on cable each year we spend on TV shows we can watch together and at our leisure. Our movie bookcases look like a video rental store...I think we have a problem...not really. Our TV set sucks but we still do watch our favorite shows on it. Here are my personal top picks of shows (that we own) These have the best rewatch value to them and we end up watching them over and over. Some are still on the air and some are not but I still enjoy them:

1) Glee

This is a show I like for too many reasons to list. I like the humor and music personally. I think Lorin likes the music and the sad parts, that make you cry, the most. For whatever reason this show is awesome.

2) Supernatural

We are currently watching the 5th season right now. And like all the other shows we are blowing right through it. This show is about two brothers who hunt the paranormal. I think Lorin mostly likes it because she thinks Jensen Ackles(Dean, the older brother) is in her words "he is HOT". I don't look at him that way. It gets to me for several reasons. One is that the two brothers are a lot like me and my little brother. I very much relate to the older brother, Dean. He and I are very much alike he likes classic cars, classic rock, guns, women, and is just a funny guy but also a leader type of guy. Which is me. Funny enough the younger brother, Sam, is a lot like my little brother. He is quiet, reserved, super smart, and very serious. I also love things having to do with the paranormal/supernatural. Its always intrigued me.

3) Spaced

This is a show that Lorin and I took a chance on. We love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. This show hails from the UK. Its very amusing how much we like British televion than we do American. Don't get me wrong, we do love our American shows. There is just something about shows from across the big lake that we just adore. The only problem is its rather difficult to find British shows at like Best Buy or Borders or Walmart or any store around here. We usually have to order them at Amazon. That sucks!

4) Wonderfalls

This show is absolutely great. It was said that it was one of the best shows nobody ever watched. Mostly because it was cancelled after only four episodes(Fox TV network has a bad tendency of doing this). They did however get to finish their only season and it ended very well. Its one of those shows that you wish they would have gotten to show more of. We bought this one when I saw the pilot episode on YouTube. I absolutely rolled on the floor laughing. And at the same time smiled because of its intelligence. It is a must watch...again...and again!

5) Firefly

Why this show never made it I will never know (another Fox cancellation...stupid bastards). It was truly entertaining. Very rarely do I like the entire cast of a show. There were 9 credited cast members which is very rare for a show to have especially in its first (and only) season. This show didn't get to finish its season. So after a few years Joss Whedon (genious that he is) went off and filmed a motion picture to finish it up for all of us fans of the show. What a swell guy to do that for the fans. Definitely a great watch and rewatch show.

6) Battlestar Galactica(new series)

Oh my God! I was a fan of the old series (yes I am old), so I was very reluctant to watch this remake. Several of our friends were completely addicted to this show. So one day I was at Blockbuster and decided to rent a couple of discs from the first season. After I was done with those two discs I marched my ass right back up there to rent the rest of the season. Later that day when I was done with those I went back up to Blockbuster to start on the next season. Unfortunately they didn't have the second season at all in their inventory for unknown reasons. I was absolutely pissed. So I said screw it and went on ebay to purchase the entire box set. Yea I know...nutso but it is completely worth it. I found it and requested a next day air shipping. I just could not put this show down. I then made Lorin watch it while ranting and raving about it. She loved it. I then set off on a mission to make everybody I know watch it. I didn't care if they borrowed my box set or not! Its just that good!

Stay tuned for part two of my television shows!

Two cases of stupidity behind the wheel

Why the hell do we allow colossal morons to drive automobiles? I really don't know! I have two cases of idiocy that I witnessed this morning.

1 - On my way to class this morning, I was behind this pick-up truck that started tailgating the car, an older model lexus, in front of him. The lady in the lexus, was going about 20mph in a 35mph zone. I could see why the young guy in the truck was annoyed. Now if you are driving a substantially less speed than the speed limit for whatever reason(injured, vehicle malfunctions, inexperience, etc) you should have the courtesy of turning on your hazard lights. Not this lady.
Now the dude in the truck was not exactly in the right either. For the next half of a mile, he proceeded to ride her ass. I mean like mere inches from her bumper. She did not drive faster or pull off the road or turn on her hazard lights. She just continued on like nothing phased her.

Well there is about a quarter of a mile straight away before the school, it is a no passing zone for unknown reasons(people always seem to drive slower than the speed limit here for whatever reason), but the dude in the truck started to whip around to pass the lady in the lexus. She had slowed to about 15mph in a 35mph zone. As soon as she saw him begin to pass her she gunned her engine and sped way up. I am watching these two idiots race in a somewhat residential area taking up both lanes neither giving way to the other.
Well the guy managed to get in front of the lexus at the very last second before another car coming towards us in the other lane and an almost head-on collision happened. The lady in the lexus was obviously furious. She was headed to the school also.
In the parking lot, they both exited their vehicles and began to scream at each other...profanity here profanity there! I parked and walked up to the both of them. The lady was in her mid to late thirties, the guy was about 20 or 21.
Lady in the lexus: WHAT THE HELL? WHY WERE YOU RIDING MY FUCKING ASS? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? YOU ALMOST CAUSED A WRECK? ARE YOU ON DRUGS OR SOMETHING? I WISHED YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN INTO THAT WRECK IT WOULD HAVE TAUGHT YOU A LESSON! I AM GONNA CALL THE POLICE ON YOU AND HAVE YOUR ASS THROWN IN JAIL FOR RECKLESS DRIVING!
Dude in the pickup truck: WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO DRIVE YOU FAT FUCKING COW? I WAS RIGHT TO PASS YOU AND THEN YOU ALMOST GOT ME KILLED BECAUSE YOU SPED UP NOT LETTING ME IN FRONT! WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF LESSON WOULD I LEARN IF I'M DEAD YOU DUMBASS BITCH? I SHOULD BE THE ONE TO CALL THE POLICE ON YOU FOR YOU BEING RECKLESS!
Me: BOTH OF YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP! Now listen lady you were in the wrong by not pulling off the road or hazard lights or driving the speed limit or closer to the speed limit. Then when this guy goes to pass you speed up almost causing an collision. That is fucking stupid. Dude! What gives you the right to be on someones ass like a hemorroid? No kidding she sped up. I don't think that either of you have any room to bitch. Ya'll should go about your business and be glad your both fucking alive. Now since I am the witness to this whole debacle, I think after my statement to the police the DMV would be glad to revoke both of your licenses for reckless behavior. GO ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS OR I WILL NOTIFY THE POLICE OF YOUR RECKLESS DRIVING AND DISTURBANCE OF THE PEACE!
They both looked at each other and then at me, kind of drooping their heads a bit, and walked away without another word. I am glad to see that I am the peacemaker of the world sometimes.

2 - There are these apartments right beside our house. Well for the most part WE HATE THEM! The apartment complex there has a large parking lot but somehow the people there find it necessary to park out on the street. Now this doesn't bother me that much. It's when they park too close to our driveway or in front of our driveway, that really irks my nerves. Thus preventing us to get out or get into our driveway. I have left nice notes and bitchy notes before on vehicles(I know...women are usually the ones to leave notes on cars but oh well I guess I am more on my feminine side). I usually will find the notes, nice or not, crumpled up in our yard or in the back of my truck. Very few take heed to my notes.
Well today as I am coming home from class, there is this bonehead parked directly in front of my driveway. Banging his head, bumpin his hands on the dash to his music, and blasting the radio to an obscene volume. Now don't get me wrong I like all(and I do mean all) kinds of music but to blast YOUR music to extremely loud decibels is just tacky! I stop and honk my horn for him to move and the dipshit gives me the finger and continues to perform to his steering wheel. So at this point I am annoyed! I get out of my truck turning on my hazard lights(like a smart person does) and walk over to the reject of society.
Me:Hey dude! You are blocking my driveway.
Dumbshit: So!
Me: Move...out...of...the...fucking...way! Because people don't seem to hear you unless you add a profanity in your sentence.
Dumbshit: Why? I is waiting on my homie. You can just sit the fuck over there and wait until he comes out and then I will move.
By this time there are cars honking as they drive by because I am blocking one side of the street. As you have read I can't go anywhere because my driveway is being blocked by the village idiot.
Me: No! Get the FUCK out of the way of my driveway!
The dumbshit looking confused, glances over to where my driveway is located and seeing that he is right in the middle of it.
Dumbshit: Oh...my bad! I didn't know there was a driveway there. I thought I was in your parking spot or somthun. Gimme a sec and I will move.
Really? How the fuck couldn't you see a driveway? It is only a concrete slab smack in the middle of someones yard. Furthermore, there are no designated parking spots on a residential road! What a dumbass!
Me: Ok...
The dufus moves forward fifteen feet and resumes to bump his music. I could give a shit. I am glad that I am not a hot-headed gun owner. Lorin says she does keep her gun in her car for the very reason she just might shoot a dumbass. I do keep mine in there and advertise it with a sticker that says "Insured by Glock" along with all of my Marine Corps stickers that cover my truck. Just so people know its there and that I know how to kill them with more than just a gun! Boasting? Yes! Do I care? Not really! I was really, however, tempted to pull it out and start waving it about. I didn't because that would only be a moronic move on my part. Two wrongs don't make a right. I am not the kind of person that will threaten someones life just because they're stupid. But boy...do I sure think it!

That's been my morning of dealing with the local stupids...have a nice day!

Tis been a while

I know that it has been a long while since I last posted. I have been rather busy with school, work, and Lorin off on vacation and her return. I'm sorry(to all my 10 readers). I just haven't had the time nor anything interesting to write. I am a bad blogger...shame on me!

On a plus note, Lorin came back from Hawaii this past Sunday. I missed her so much. It was just too quiet in our little household! She had fun but wished I was there with her having fun too! Ah the life of a college student. Busy, broke, and stressed! Now that she is home we have some stuff to do.

We finally finished getting the Halloween decorations up. Halloween is a little more than a week away and we finally got all decorated. Yea I know, we can be slackers sometimes. We still have to buy like $100 more in candy from the dollar store, but oh well.

My classes are in mid-terms time these next few weeks. So I will be busy studying and gettin my learn on so I can gets me a gooder edumacation! Hey! I am allowed to say stupid shit like that, I am from the deep south.

Our internet service is pure shit! I am not sugar coating it either. We have had this "Clear Wire" company for nearly two years. When we first got it seemed like they were trying really hard to give good internet connection, but failed. So we just dealt with the slow service and poor connection. The connection would go out in inclimate weather and would go out in almost inclimate weather and would go out in after inclimate weather. We stayed anyways. There wasn't much else of a choice. It will cut out while on both of our computers(sometimes the work I am doing gets lost which really pisses me off), so we are constantly having to reset the router and repair connection on our computers. For the last year Lorin and I have been saying we need to get a different service provider. For $40 a month we only get decent internet when its summertime and no chance of slightly poor weather. Thats just not good business. We have contacted them before explaining our lack of connection(its not like we live in the boondocks either) and get told that in our area the internet connection is getting repaired...blah blah blah bullshit. The only way we get any connection is either in two places in our house. The upstairs front bedroom window with the box facing north and the blinds pulled up and nothing else near it. Or in our master bathroom window facing north same as the other room. Really? What the hell? So we have put up with this crap for 2ish years. Well 4 days ago, for no apparent reason, the internet just stopped working! We tried fiddling with the router like we have done in the past with no luck. Then Lorin contacted them and they said it would be 24 hours before it would be working again! Its been 4 days and no internet! So we are switching internet service providers again. Luckily, I am borrowing someone elses connection that I can only get in our garage for some reason. It is a very weak connection but at least it works! That is the only way we have internet in our household a lot of times. I know this has been one long rant, but oh well!

Other than that my life has been pretty dull. I know...I know...I am boring! Thank you for taking the time to read about my life and my bitch sessions!

Home alone

It's weird having the house all to myself. Lorin is off were her mom and sisters in Hawaii. I do miss her soo much. For the next week, I have to figure out what to do with myself. I could clean the house(it really needs it).

I do have some school work to catch up on. I don't know what my work schedule is like. I do have to go in today to help Derek move some things(not getting paid I am just helping him out of the goodness of my soul). It's all quiet and stuff.

On a plus note, I do get the bed all to myself...well sorta, the dogs and cats take up a little over half. But that's more than I usually get.

It's funny I am stuck babysitting all of their vehicles and both houses. A big ford truck, a volkswagon jetta, a volkswagon rabbit, and a porsche. Maybe I will take each one out for a spin and just let my truck take a rest. I do not intend to sleep over at the other house though...it smells like butt and all my stuff is here.

I could play some video games, watch some movies, or just lounge around naked in my house. I don't think I will do any of this though. I am too much of a busy-body.

With Halloween coming up, I do plan to start decorating. Lorin and I weren't going to do Halloween this year because we normally spend around 600 dollars on candy(we live in the rich neighborhood where everybody takes their kids we also give out the good stuff). Since we couldn't afford it this year we were just going to not decorate or give out candy. Well that just sucks! We always decorate and give out candy. So we decided that to hell with it, we will just buy the cheapest candy to hand out and we are going to decorate with our awesome decorations that over the years we spent a shit-ton of money on. We might as well. So that is something I can get a jumpstart on. Halloween is only 3 weeks away.

Other than what is listed, I haven't a clue as to what else to do to keep from getting bored or sad. Maybe I won't be either bored or sad. I dunno. Well that's all from my little world. Ta-ta!

Grumble...grumble

Well that dreaded week has arrived. Lorin's mom is in town! She shows up every 10 weeks for her break in the Cirque show. Has it really been 10 weeks since she was last here? I guess so. I have no idea why but she flat out fucking HATES ME!!! I don't get it. Neither does Lorin. We have discussed it over and over and over. There is just no getting it I suppose.

These are just some of the examples over the last 2 years with no particular time of when they happened but are in order.

Example 1: I try to be myself. I am a very friendly chipper type. So I am polite, nice, chatty, helpful, and just overall a happy kind of person when Amy is around. Lorin and I are always very loving around each other so we didn't act any differently. We hold hands, smile, tickle each other, and are just genuinely affectionate. Now she doesn't say this to me directly but according to her I am just an immature ass(but I can certainly tell thats what she is thinking). I get looked down on because I am happy. And Lorin has to hear about what a douchebag I am. How we shouldn't be together blah blah blah! How lazy and worthless I am (even though our house was always clean). How she is somehow supporting me and so on... OK...fine then!

Example 2: I am quiet and keep to myself when my mother-in-law is around. I don't go with the rest of them out to eat. I just gather whatever we have around the house to munch on. This time when she was in town Lorin and I laid off the affectionate behavior since it was so obviously annoying Amy. Now that she is in town this time around I am working two jobs and therefore I really wasn't home that much and I am always busy...but exhausted. So avoiding Amy was relatively easy. Just so you know, I am the type that if I don't get an invite I am not just going to invite myself and tag along. I am the type who, if I can't pay for my own meal I don't wanna have someone else do it for me. Lorin is annoyed because I won't come with them when they go out to eat. (By the way, when AMY is in town she never wants to eat home cooked meals. She just goes out to eat all the time) Lorin's sisters are also telling me to come out with them when they all go out so their mom doesn't get all grouchy and tell them about "how rude I am because I never come out with them" or "Lorin and I are not happy because we never are around each other" or "what's wrong with Lorin and Gary are they breaking up or something since they are not as affectionate as they used to be" or "he is so lazy the house is never clean(I was working two jobs you bitch), or...whatever! Grrrr...

Example 3: She's back! This time I had started in college and had quit one of my jobs(it was just not going to work 2 full time jobs and full time student). So I have one job and am now finally using my MGI Bill money for schooling. I had been talking about it for years so I finally got into a position to where I could. GOOD FOR ME! Well at the time we only had the one computer in the house that Lorin bought when her laptop took a dump and so she got a desktop Mac. Well, everytime I went to do my homework or write papers for my classes...there Amy was just goofin off on the computer. Now mind you, she has her own laptop in her room but for whatever reason she just had to be on this computer. I felt odd about asking her to get off of the computer so I could do some homework but I did every once in a while. Sometimes I would get a chipper "ok...yea sure...you have important stuff to do", or a grumble...and then she would get up, or just a stern look...then she would remember that she has to be passive aggressive and so she would fakely smile and get off the computer. This makes me uncomfortable as hell because she already hates me, but I mean come on...you have your own FUCKING computer! Smile and nod...smile and nod! So the only time I was able to be on the computer was fucking early AM. I would wait til she would go to bed which was like midnight or so and then I was free to use the computer. Most of the time this led me to be up til like sunrise sometimes. But oh well...no awkward confrontations. Well...sorta! Lorin was always pissed because I would come to bed til late. But I couldn't help it. So I didn't "hear" about so much hatred of me this time but I could just feel it. So to combat this situation for future Amy-visits I went and bought my own laptop(thank God she hasn't messed with it...I would lose my damn cool).

Example 4: Well the last time she was in town, she came at a bad time. I was out of school for the summer(not by choice...but because all the classes filled up before my grades had even posted from the Spring...I got screwed). Which means I have no GI bill money...so I am broke for the summer because my job money helps pay the bills and groceries and I had to pay for a laptop. Lorin was having issues at the Eldo job. Our cat died(one of my earlier posts in this blog)the day Amy arrived so we were already upset. Well this last time she was here it was a fucking nightmare, as previously written. So I decided to take her up on the invites to going out with the rest of them to eat(I am so broke that I kind of have to)...bad idea! I try to be nice but quiet...bad idea! I try to be socialable but not too overly chatty...bad idea! Lorin and I stay just only barely affectionate with Amy around...not so bad idea! Well I just can't win...because we had the most awkward dinner ever. So bad in fact that Lorin and I couldn't stay in the house all night. I had been trying to be social and go out with all of them when they went out to dinners over the last few visits but...that...will...never...happen...again!!! I cannot take anymore of her shit. Among all the other shitty days we had when she was here she started off in a great mood. Really...I had never seen her in such a good mood. Then...it got...horrible. She was alway in a pissy mood and she was always gossiping to Lorin's sisters about us and all kinds of other shitty behavior like: "they are so lazy" or "why do I have to pay for everything" or "why are they so upset over their cat dying...it just a cat" or "why are they acting so strange why don't they just going to break up already" or "why isn't Lorin with Mike(who Amy adores) instead of Gary(who Amy loathes)" or "why doesn't Gary have any money(duh...I don't have any GI Bill money because I am not in fucking class this summer)" or any other snarky remarks she has made openly or whispered! What the hell! I just can't win with her.

It took Lorin and I like 3 and half weeks to recover from her last visit. And now she is back! She flew in on Monday and there was some awkwardness. Luckily she is staying over at the Washoe house this time and she is only in town for a little over a week. So in this visit I am going to stick to just eating at home or for whatever I can buy my damn self. I am not going to have late papers because lack of computer usage. I am not going to get involved in family arguments. I am not going to be overly nice, just be civil. I am not going to give a damn. I am just going to pretend like she isn't here and that Lorins and my life doesn't get turned upside down with her crap!
Sorry folks my blood just gets a boiling when she shows up now. I have taken it for years now and I am truly fed up with it. I know this is one helluva rant but believe me this ain't even close to half of it. There is so much more but I would probably be typing for several weeks. So hopefully I will not be in a bad mood this week. So sorry if I am.

This is gonna be one of those weekends...

Just what the title says!
Well I will elaborate some. I am at work for most of today, like 11 hours of being there. We have a ton of cleaning to do. Lorin has other activities going on today and tommorrow. Now that I have temporary access to the MyMathLab for my math class I have to play catch up with that. We have a dish to prepare for this coming BBQ on Monday. Lorin's mom and sister are coming one on Sunday the other on Monday. And just a bunch of other hectic activities to keep us going around in circles. Ahhhhhh!!!

My 30's

Well I am now 30 years old. I guess I don't get to say I am in my 20's anymore and have to say I'm in my 30's. Gosh...I'm...old! Oh well!

Does this mean I can retire? Collect social security? Hang out in bars and talk about the good ole days? Go to the community center and play bingo? Hmmm...maybe!

I know I'm not really old. I just remember back to when I was a little kid thinking 30 was old. Now that I am here. Its just another number. So when you see me bitching about being in my 30's now, just know that I am joking...with myself mostly.

When I do get old, though, I am definitely going to be one of obnoxiously perverted old guys. When a young guy tells a dirty joke, people might think him a perv. When an old guy tells a dirty joke, people think its funny. Nobody pulls a can of pepper spray on an old guy. Nobody shouts sexual harrassment on an old guy. Nobody thinks an old guy as a pervert, they just smile or chuckle. Do you ever notice those old guys who will pat a girl on the butt, tease them about how good they look, always give them a full frontal hug(just so they can have the girls chest up against them), give a wink at a lady, look a woman up and down while raising their eyebrows, or any other slightly inappropriate behavior and the lady just thinks its cute, not a chance...but cute. When I am old, thats going to be me!

Anyways thats a long time from now. As for now I have the day off today and so does Lorin. I have no idea what are agenda for today is going to be but I am sure it will be fun. It's my day to have fun and do whatever, so I am going to do it. Bye ya'll and have a great day!
